About me
Hello, my name is Saskia Häßner. During my studies in Transnational social work in 2019, God called me to mission.
I have been with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) since 2022. The journey with YWAM started for me in the US and Brazil and now I get to experience the German network here in Berlin for a period of time.
Berlin is a strategically important city for the mission with its many international connections.
My / our mission
Our mission at YWAM in Berlin is to make Berlin a catalyst for mission. This is to be achieved through training (Bible School, Discipleship Training School), missionary outreaches abroad, cooperation with partners (churches, organizations, individuals) in Berlin and through living a faith reflected lifestyle of praise and prayer.
This is a good foundation to follow the vision to make God known so that people worldwide will praise Him and follow Jesus.
I want to do this through community work and training of other Christians. It’s my passion to equip others to proclaim the Gospel and to practically spread the Gospel myself in the community in which I live. I will do this primarily through the social work approach of community work and development.
Here in Berlin, I work with other organizations and people in this field and participate in the trainings of our base.
Another part of my work is in the Nations Impact Circle. This is where the idea of going out into the world from Berlin with a focus on reaching specific countries in the Middle East is realized.
