My name is Michael Riedel
I have been married to my wife Uta since 1986. Our two adult children, Carmen and Felix, now have families of their own, making us proud grandparents.
After a new experience with the Holy Spirit and revival fire, Uta and I founded a church in North Hesse together with a team in 1996. In 2021 I handed over the pastoral leadership.
Since April 2022 I have been working on a half-time position as editor-in-chief of the magazine Charisma.
I have been a mission partner with Globe Mission since February 2022. Already as a pastor I had a travel activity in Kosovo. I would like to intensify and expand the already existing cooperation, maybe also in the neighboring country Albania. All within the framework of my calling and gifting. Here are two personal guiding words in this regard:
“You have the task of equipping those who belong to God’s holy people for their ministry, so that the church, the body of Christ, may be built up.” Eph. 4:12ff
“For we want to bring everyone to the point where he can stand before God as a spiritually mature person through belonging to Christ.” Col 1:28
Practically, I will continue to support and accompany Kosovar missionary couple. They work in Gjakova and the surrounding area. This is also my base from which I work when I am in the country. Besides working with children, the couple has many contacts with youth, young adults and pastors. They also lead a house church.
I am connected with different churches and the pastors in Prizren and Gjakova.
In addition to the conversations that take place, the preaching services are to be expanded.
In addition:
Spiritual accompaniment, counseling and promotion of (also potential) leaders, especially in the “things of the spirit” , and evangelistic contact work. The scope and intensity of all activities depend, of course, on the frequency and duration of my stays.
Prayer ministries – alone, with and for others, but also strategic prayer for the nation and the Body of Christ in the country.
Partnership – I understand my ministry to be first in partnership with the Holy Spirit. I want to be His co-worker and junior partner, whether in the Balkans as a mission partner or in Germany as an editorial director.
But I am a team player. So I would be happy if you could accompany me in partnership. This can take different forms:
