Hello,
My name is Ralf Vollmer.
I am happily married to Margaretha since over 40 years. We have three adult sons and four grandchildren.
In 1982, God spoke so clearly into my life that I said “yes” from my heart to a life with Him. From the very beginning, it was important to me not only to rejoice in my salvation, but also to tell others about Jesus and to serve in various areas of the church.
The 1980s were also the time of the “tea rooms.” We went out onto the streets and invited people who did not yet know God to talk to them about Him.
From 1986 to 1989, we attended Bible school and then went to Burghausen, Bavaria, for eight years to help build a church until God called us back to Steinhagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, in 1997 to start a new church. Here we were involved in church leadership, pastoral ministry, and I was also on the national board of our church association.
In 2014, after many years, I started riding motorcycles again.
In 2015, I got to know the Christian missionary motorcycle club Holy Riders MC Germany.
Here, God spoke to me in a whole new way and placed a new calling, love, and fire in my heart to (once again) meet people who have not yet personally come to know Jesus.
As an MC, we work primarily among other motorcycle clubs and (recreational) bikers. Our activities range from simple conversations at meetings, to trade fair work, motorcycle church services, pastoral care in “biker style,” to missionary work abroad. Since 2022, we have had an annual missionary trip among bikers in Mallorca.
This allows us to meet people who would (presumably) never voluntarily go to church—but God finds ways…
But it’s not just bikers who should hear about Jesus, so I am involved in evangelism in my home church and the Bielefeld area, and I participate in training courses and other missionary work.
In recent months, another area of work has also developed: discipleship mentoring.
This takes place not only in the context of the Holy Riders, but also in an interdenominational setting. For example, through the life seminar that we offer twice a year and also through the founding of a discipleship school.
In 2022, God called me out of my previous professional life, and since the end of 2023, I have been traveling with Globe Mission.
Please feel free to contact me for further information.
