Caleb & Esther McDonald

Meet the McDonald family

Esther and Caleb have been married for 21 years and have 3 children.

Caleb is an ordained pastor and has lived in Germany for over 20 years and served in different churches. Esther is a devoted teacher and has been involved in children’s and youth ministry. In 2018 they moved to East Germany to plant D!SCOVER church.

It is their heart and passion to see people’s lives being transformed and to help them discover God and the potential God has put in them.

Esther and Caleb believe that they are called to help people meet Jesus by meeting their needs.

They believe that by helping people with their needs that God will use this for people to experience God’s grace and lead them toward Him and eternal salvation.

In their new season of ministry God is leading them to the Canary Islands. Their mission objective is an opportunity to transform a private school on the island of Tenerife into an international Christian school, impacting the next generation.

They also see a great need to build up a community development center, geared toward single parents and families in need. Tenerife has struggled over the last years with a high rate of unemployment, especially amongst young people. The local average income no longer enough to provide for their families.

Not only is there a great Spiritual need on the Islands, there is a need in learning different languages to be able to find work.
Caleb and Esther see themselves called to serve the Canary People, extending God’s grace and bringing hope through Christ.
At the same time, they feel led to help strengthen and equip the local church.
