We (Christine, called Kia, and Jan) are the Rößler family, a family with four children: Sarah (born in 2002), Jannika (2004), Jakob (2007) and Timo (2010).
We grew up in the Erz Mountains. After graduating from university in Jena (Thuringia), our way led us first to a bible college in Bad Gandersheim and later to the Harz region, where engaged in a church planting ministry. Jan also worked here as a dentist over a period of five years. After a year of language learning in Portugal, finally we ended up in Southern Africa. Since 2012, we have been living among the Makua Nahara in Northern Mozambique.
Here in Memba, God gave us a big piece of land that we have been able to use not only for building our house, but also to create space for many other things. Every week, far more than 200 children come to our children’s celebrations, we regularly train adults in the word of God and are also able to offer seminars over several days in cooperation with our colleagues, the Schumann family. Together with an indigenous pastor, Jan regularly visits remote places in order to bring the gospel to the people.
In the future, we would also like to extend our ministry by dental aid interventions; however, until now, we have not yet received the necessary permissions.
