Dachung and I, Stefanie met in 2005 at a 6 months DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I fell in love with the country right away. After that I, went back to Germany to round up my degree in education but the friendship with Dachung continued. In 2008 God confirmed my calling to work for Him in Nigeria on a visit to the country and we started our relationship. After we got married in 2010 we travelled and spent some time in South Africa where we attended another 6 month school with YWAM the “Family Ministry School”.
Our vision is for discipleship in Nigeria. Although Nigeria has many churches and many believers, the level of understanding and the depth of relationship to God of many is shallow. In a time of crisis, fights and bomb attacs in Jos and other places in Nigeria the themes forgiveness, inner healing and loving your neighbour (and enemy) are very important to us.
By working with schools and churches we want to reach out to children, teenagers, teachers and families. Our goal is to lead them into a more intimate relationship to God through teaching, training and personal relationships. In the last two years we have been running a number of marriage enrichment workshops (www.reapp.org) in which we help couples to ground their marriages on biblical principles. Through sermons and teachings we also pass on biblical teachings about family related topics.
The area of education is also very close to our hearts. Last year we ran literacy courses for adults and children. Those made it possible to read and study their bibles themselves.
