Hi, I’m Sam!
I grew up as a missionary kid in Guatemala and Peru and felt God call me to missions in my 20s. I’m serving with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Tokyo in Japan with a focus on making disciples that go and make disciples and starting a house church movement. My heart is to see Japanese men and women find hope in Jesus and carry that hope to their neighbours.
Practically that looks like street evangelism, making friends, serving the YWAM community with photography, and worshiping God with my fellow believers. Japan is not a poor nation, but most people have never heard the Gospel. There’s a deep need for Jesus here and I believe the harvest is ready – they just need someone to tell them and show them Christ is real! Let’s tell Japan about our great God!
