Thekla

Hey there!

I’m Thekla and I’m on my way to Mozambique. In 2019/20, I got to know the Schumann family during my volunteer year with APCM, and in 2023 I received a request asking if I would like to support their work in a Muslim village in northern Mozambique.

In recent years, I have worked as a state-certified early childhood educator, primarily in children’s and youth homes. My heart beats for children who come from broken homes or have  experienced abuse. I want to see them experience healing through the love of Jesus and break the cycle of abuse. I want to see these children become free and grow into men and women after God’s own heart.

My heart also beats for having an attitude of heart like in Isaiah 6:8 – Here I am, send me. For this reason, I am now able to follow God’s call together with N. to support a local leadership team of believers in northern Mozambique. My focus is particularly on building a children’s and youth ministry together with them.
